My daughter has high-functioning autism and her illness made it difficult for me to work outside the home. I needed the flexibility to handle her illness and her doctor appointments. My home business allows me to continue work while she is sleeping, work while she is at school and be available to her for afterschool activities and homework. I am blessed that my husband does work outside the home and he provides our family with medical insurance not available to many small businesses such as mine.
I chose my WAH business because I wanted to be able to stay home, but make money at the same time. I needed a challenge outside of home, something where I can learn, go beyond myself and improve. I chose Mary Kay because I LOVE skincare and makeup, and I believe in these products. They are fabulous. I also love the people I am surrounded with. When I joined I heard it was a company based on Christian principles. I am a Christian, and my faith is very important to me, so this was appealing. But you know, I hear lots of things like that. So I thought I`d check it out myself. I am soo happy to say, that indeed I have found lots of Christian ladies, who are not pushy, but positive and encouraging, and include their faith into their businesses. They are blessed and stable. I need that..stability, in every way. So that`s why I am in Mary Kay.
We chose ours because we can help people where they are at. It offers Health and Nutrition, Weight management (Loss and Gain), and Debt Freedom. The investment was minimal to get started and not a pyramid or something like that. I could go on forever about the benefits we have received and have helped others receive.
And it is Christian based in every aspect. Michael W. Smith and Kutless are non paid endorsers too ;)

I am choosing to work at home because I eventually plan to be married and have children, and want to invest AS much time as possible with them!
I am praying to have my business built up enough that I won't have to spend AS much time laying the ground work as I do now, but can maintain, and build on it...
I also want to have more free time to be available to the people around me. For ministry purposes, etc.
